INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Mike Dunleavy's tip-in at the final buzzer Monday lifted the Indiana Pacers to a 94-93 decision over New Orleans.
Dunleavy was able to tap in a Danny Granger 3-point try after it danced on the rim and was heading back out, triggering a joyous reaction by the Pacers, who tackled him at midcourt.
The game-winner capped a wild final 16 seconds in which the lead changed hands three times. David West had given the Hornets the lead with a jumper from the top of the key.
Granger collected 27 points, Darren Collison chipped in with 18 and James Posey added 15 points for Indiana.
The Hornets lost for the fifth time in seven games on a day in which the NBA Board of Governors approved the sale of the franchise to the league.
Emeka Okafor led New Orleans with 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.
