NBA: Portland 107, Minnesota 102

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Two free throws by Wesley Matthews with 13 seconds left Friday secured a 107-102 victory for the Portland Trail Blazers over Minnesota.

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 36 points for the Trail Blazers but his two missed foul shots with 1:16 to play left Portland with a four-point lead and gave the Timberwolves hope of a late rally.

A jump shot by Matthews with 33 seconds increased the advantage to six but Michael Beasley made a 3-pointer for Minnesota with 12 seconds remaining to make it a three-point game.

Matthews, however, clinched it with his foul shots, ending Portland's three-game losing streak.

Minnesota has lost four in a row and has won on the road just once in 16 tries this season. The Timberwolves have played only 11 home games, tied for fewest in the NBA.

Rudy Fernandez had 26 points for Portland and Matthews scored 21.

Minnesota was led by Beasley with 33.
