NBA: LA Clippers 100, Chicago 99

CHICAGO, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Blake Griffin's free throw with 42.5 seconds left Saturday proved to be the difference in the Los Angeles Clippers' 100-99 victory over the Chicago Bulls.

Chicago scored six straight points to end the game, but fell short of pushing the game into overtime when Derrick Rose missed a free throw with 0.8 seconds remaining.

Griffin produced his 15th straight double-double with 29 points and 12 rebounds for the Clippers.

Baron Davis scored 16 and recorded seven assists and Eric Gordon had 15 points for Los Angeles.

Rose scored a game-high 34 points with eight assists and Carlos Boozer added 25 for the Bulls, whose win streak was ended at seven.
