COL BKB: Georgetown 99, Loyola-Md. 75

WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Austin Freeman and Hollis Thompson both scored 14 points in No. 13 Georgetown's 99-75 win over Loyola-Maryland Saturday.

Henry Sims added a dozen points for the Hoyas (10-1), who rested their starters in the second half and still went on to their second consecutive victory.

Georgetown shot 64.2 percent from the field and hit 10 3-pointers. The Hoyas broke the game open with a 27-8 run in the first half during which Loyola-Maryland (4-6) did not make a field goal.

The Greyhounds, who have lost four of their last five games, were led by Justin Drummond's 21 points. Erik Etherly added 12 but their leading scorer, Jamal Barney, was limited to six points.

Georgetown led 50-27 at halftime. Freeman hit a 3-pointer early in the second half followed by Thompson's long jump shot that put the Hoyas ahead 60-30.
