NBA: LA Lakers 109, Indiana 94

INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant helped Los Angeles dominate the first half Wednesday and scored 31 points, sending the Lakers rolling over Indiana 109-94.

Los Angeles held the Pacers scoreless during a 5-minute stretch of the second period while building a 59-37 lead at intermission.

The Lakers won for the sixth time in seven games and improved to 4-1 on a seven-game road trip that will conclude with contests in Philadelphia and Toronto.

Bryant made 11-of-18 shots from the field and dished out five assists. Pau Gasol had 28 points and both Ron Artest and Lamar Odom had 13. Andrew Bynum, playing in his second game after returning from knee surgery that caused him to miss the first 23 contests of the season, scored three points while playing 18 minutes.

Indiana, which lost its third straight, got 17 points from Darren Collison.
