NBA: Miami 96, New Orleans 84

MIAMI, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Dwyane Wade pumped in 32 points Monday and the Miami Heat won their ninth straight game, 96-84 over New Orleans.

Wade, named NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week Monday, connected on 14-of-17 free throws, Chris Bosh added 23 points and 11 rebounds and LeBron James chipped in with 20 points.

Leading by only two points with 1:30 left in the third, the Heat outscored the Hornets 18-2 over the next 10 minutes to put the game away, capped by six straight points from Wade on a layup, a jumper and two foul shots.

David West put in 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Hornets, who lost for the 10th time in 13 games.
