ST. LOUIS, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Jussi Jokinen's shootout goal allowed the Carolina Hurricanes to post just their third win in 10 games Saturday, 2-1 over St. Louis.
Jokinen got the only tally of the shootout, faking a forehand before moving to his backhand and putting the game-winner under the crossbar past Jaroslav Halak.

Brandon Sutter got Carolina's only regulation tally and Cam Ward turned aside 38-of-39 shots to earn the victory.
The Blues got their lone goal from Alex Pietrangelo. Halak made 28 saves as St. Louis lost for the sixth time in eight games.
