DALLAS, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Jason Terry hit a 3-pointer with 7.6 seconds left Saturday, handing Dallas its 12th straight win, a 103-97 victory over Utah.
Terry finished with 14 points for Dallas, which almost wasted a 25-point lead before hanging on to improve to 19-4, the second-best record in the NBA.

The Mavericks got 31 points and 15 rebounds from Dirk Nowitzki, who connected on 10-of-12 shots from the field. DeShawn Stevenson contributed 17 points and Caron Butler had 16.
The Jazz offense was keyed by Deron Williams' game-high 34 points. Paul Millsap scored 16 points and Ronnie Price had 14 for Utah, which lost its first road game in seven outings.
