COL BKB: Texas 101, Texas State 65

AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Cory Joseph and J'Covan Brown combined for 37 points for Texas Saturday and the 25th-ranked Longhorns pounded Texas State 101-65.

Joseph netted 19 points, Brown added 18 and Jordan Hamilton chipped in with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Longhorns (7-2).

Brown connected on a pair of 3-pointers to put Texas up for good at 15-10. After the Bobcats narrowed the lead to 20-18, Jordan Hamilton made a trey, igniting a 17-4 run that put the game away.

The Longhorns won for the fourth time in five games.

Texas State (2-5) got 12 points and eight rebounds from Tony Bishop in the loss.
