SEATTLE, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Seattle's Marshawn Lynch scored twice during a big third quarter Sunday and the Seahawks pounded Carolina 31-14.
Lynch, who ran 21 times for 83 yards, scored a career-high three TDs in all and the Seahawks (6-6) stormed back from a double-digit deficit with a 21-point third quarter.
Seattle, which used the victory to keep pace with St. Louis atop the NFC West, found itself down 14-0 before notching 31 unanswered points.
Matt Hasselbeck survived a pair of interceptions to gain 229 yards on 17-of-30 passing. Justin Forsett aided Seattle's cause with 60 rushing yards on six carries and Cameron Morrah hauled down three passes for 69 yards.
The hapless Panthers fell to 1-11, remaining the only one-win team in the NFL.
