Yang, Lee share lead on LPGA Tour

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Amy Yang and Seon Hwa Lee both posted a 5-under 67 Thursday that left them tied for the top after one round of the LPGA Tour Championship.

The opening round was suspended due to darkness with 27 players still on the Grand Cypress Resort course.

Cool weather and gusty winds slowed the pace of play early in the day, resulting in the afternoon starters having their tee times delayed by 20 minutes.

Both Yang and Lee turned professional in 2006. Lee has won four times on the LPGA circuit and Yang is seeking her first victory, although she finished fifth this year at both the U.S. Women's Open and Women's British Open.

Julieta Granada was alone in third place at 69 while veteran Laura Davies shared fourth place at 70 with Tania Elosegui and Leta Lindley. Taylor Leon was also at 2-under with three holes to play.

Cristie Kerr, ranked third in the world, was tied for eighth after firing a 71. World No. 1 Jiyai Shin settled for a 77.
