CLEVELAND, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Rajon Rondo popped in 23 points and Glen Davis added 17 off the bench Tuesday, sparking the Boston Celtics to their fourth straight win, 106-87 over Cleveland.
Rondo distributed 12 assists, Davis pulled down 11 rebounds and Marquis Daniels added a season-high 16 points for Boston, which outscored the Cavs 35-22 in the second period to put the game away.
The Celtics avenged a loss to Cleveland earlier this season -- thanks in part to 12 points from Ray Allen. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett also reached double figures, scoring 11 apiece.
Cleveland was led by Daniel Gibson and Anderson Varejao, who both scored 16.
The Cavaliers are anticipating the return of their former superstar, LeBron James, who Thursday will make his first appearance in the city since leaving Cleveland as a free agent to join the Miami Heat.
