LONDON, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- A loss to Roger Federer in the ATP World Tour Finals merely dented Rafael Nadal's hold on top of the world tennis rankings.

There was only one change in the Top 10 following the competition, which ended Sunday in London.

Nadal, winner of three Grand Slam events in 2010, wrapped up the year-end No. 1 ranking months ago. Federer's 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 victory over the Spaniard in the tour finals left Nadal with a 3,305-point hold on the top spot. He has 12,450 rankings points.

Federer, even with an impressive 9,145 points, is again second at year's end and Novak Djokovic, as he has for the last four years, ended up third. Djokovic lost to Federer in the semifinals in London and totals 6,035 points.

The other semifinalist was Andy Murray, a finish that boosted his points total to 5,760 and allowed him to pass Robin Soderling (5,580) for fourth place in the rankings, leaving Soderling in fifth.

Tomas Berdych (3,955) remained in sixth ahead of No. 7 David Ferrer (3,735) and eighth-ranked Andy Roddick (3,665). Fernando Verdasco (3,240) and Mikhail Youzhny (2,920) complete the 2010 final Top 10.
