COL FB: South Carolina 29, Clemson 7

CLEMSON, S.C., Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Stephen Garcia rolled up 227 passing yards and fired two touchdowns Saturday in No. 17 South Carolina's 29-7 defeat of Clemson.

Five of his completions went to Alshon Jeffery, who racked up 141 yards and a touchdown for the SEC East champion Gamecocks (9-3), who beat Clemson in consecutive years for the first time since 1969-70.

South Carolina, which won nine games for just the third time in school history, will now prepare to face Auburn in the SEC championship game Dec. 4.

The Tigers (6-6) got only 117 yards passing from Kyle Parker, who was 7-of-17.
