COL FB: Michigan State 28, Penn State 22

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Kirk Cousins threw two touchdown passes Saturday to give No. 10 Michigan State a 28-22 win over Penn State and a share of the Big Ten championship.

The win locked Michigan State (11-1, 7-1 Big Ten) into a tie for the conference crown with Wisconsin poised to make it a three-way deadlock if they beat Northwestern later in the day.

The Spartans, who had not been part of a Big Ten title since 1990, scored a touchdown in each quarter while limiting Penn State (7-5, 4-4) to a first quarter field goal before allowing them 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Cousins was 17-of-22 for 152 yards and hit B.J. Cunningham twice for touchdowns. Edwin Baker ran for 118 yards and a TD on 28 carries.

Penn State's Matthew McGloin was 23-of-43 for 312 passing yards and two touchdowns. Justin Brown had six catches for 106 yards.
