COL BKB: Texas 62, Rice 59

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Cory Joseph and Jordan Hamilton combined for 27 points Saturday and No. 21 Texas got by Rice 62-59.

Joseph scored 14 points, Hamilton contributed 13 and Tristan Thompson accounted for 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Longhorns (5-1), who won their second straight game.

Gary Johnson chipped in with eight points and six boards as Texas raised its record in non-conference home games to 67-2 since 2002-03.

The Owls (3-3) were led by Arsalan Kazemi with 13 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
