AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Jordan Hamilton netted 25 points and Texas Coach Rick Barnes got his 500th career victory Tuesday in the 21st-ranked Longhorns' 84-50 win over Sam Houston.

Hamilton grabbed nine rebounds and Dogus Balbay notched 14 points for Texas (4-1) in the triumph.

The Longhorns also got 12 points from J'Covan Brown and Gary Johnson chipped in with nine points and nine boards.

The Bearkats (2-1) were led by Antuan Bootle with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Gilberto Clavell scored 15 points and collected seven caroms for Sam Houston in the loss.
