NHL: Philadelphia 3, Montreal 2

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- James Van Riemsdyk's third-period goal proved decisive Monday in the Philadelphia Flyers' 3-2 decision over the Montreal Canadiens.

The Flyers won their second straight game with help from Claude Giroux and Ville Leino, who notched Philadelphia's other goals.

They were backstopped by Brian Boucher, who made 29 saves for the victors.

The Canadiens got two first-period tallies from Maxim Lapierre, but it wasn't enough to prevent only their second loss in seven games.

Carey Price let in all three goals on 45 shots for Montreal.
