FANLING, China, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Ian Poulter used a 3-under-par 67 Sunday to hold off the field and claim the title at the European Tour's Hong Kong Open.

Poulter, despite his first two bogeys of the week, finished at a tournament-record 22-under 258 and was one stroke up on Matteo Manassero, who fired a 62 Sunday, and Simon Dyson, who had a final-round 65.

Anthony Kang (65 Sunday) took fourth, two strokes back of Poulter, and Graeme McDowell (68) was fifth at 19-under.

Poulter hadn't made a bogey all week until he put a ball on the water the par-5 third hole Sunday -- a hole he had an eagle on Saturday -- and ended up with a 6. That allowed Dyson, who had an eagle at No. 3 and a birdie at 4 to take the lead.

However, Poulter had three birdies in his next fourth holes with short putts and got to 4-under on the round with an eagle at the 529-yard, par-5 13th. He had a 2-stroke lead going into the final hole. He blasted from a bunker to 15 feet and was able to get down from there for a bogey, securing the win.

Poulter received $412,000 for the title while Dyson and Manassero each won $215,000.

The European Tour wraps up its 2010 schedule next week with the Dubai World Championship.
