COL BKB: Memphis 70, LSU 61

TUPELO, Miss., Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Wesley Witherspoon pumped in 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds Sunday, propelling No. 19 Memphis to a 70-61 victory over Louisiana State.

Memphis (3-0) posted its third straight win to start the season thanks in part to 12 points each from Chris Crawford and Joe Jackson.

Tarik Black added nine points and hauled down nine rebounds in the Tigers' win.

LSU (2-2) was led by Andre Stringer, who notched 13 points. Aaron Dotson added 12 points and Ralston Turner chipped in with 11.
