NHL: Phoenix 3, Calgary 1

CALGARY, Alberta, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Ilya Bryzgalov took a shutout deep into the third period Wednesday and the Phoenix Coyotes won their fourth in a row with a 3-1 decision over Calgary.

It is the longest winning streak of the season for the Coyotes, who jumped to a 2-0 lead after one period on goals from Wojtek Wolski and Martin Hanzal. The goal from Hanzal came on the power play.

Rene Bourque broke up Bryzgalov's bid for a shutout with 3:52 to play, giving the Flames a chance to pull out a victory. An empty-net goal by Lauri Korpikoski with 8 seconds to go ended that possibility.

Calgary lost its third in a row and has dropped six out of seven.

Bryzgalov stopped 39 shots to win his third straight. Calgary's Miikka Kiprusoff made 28 saves.
