NHL: Columbus 5, Los Angeles 3

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Rick Nash scored twice in the final 3:12 of the third period Wednesday to conclude a Columbus comeback and give the Blue Jackets a 5-3 win over Los Angeles.

The Kings became the last NHL team to lose a home game this season, having won their first eight. They dropped a point behind Detroit for the best record in the Western Conference.

Justin Williams gave Los Angeles a 3-2 lead 1:25 into the third with his ninth goal of the season, but Jared Boll tied it 2:23 later.

Nash then put the Blue Jackets in front and added an empty-net goal with 38 seconds to play. They were his seventh and eighth goals of the season, and allowed the Blue Jackets to improve the Western Conference's best road record to 5-1.

Steve Mason made 33 saves for the win. Jonathan Quick stopped 21-of-25 shots for the Kings.
