SUNRISE, Fla., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Chris Higgins and Mike Santorelli scored 53 seconds apart in the first period Friday and the Florida Panthers held on to defeat Minnesota 2-1.
After Higgins and Santorelli both produced their third goals of the season, Cal Clutterbuck scored on the power play with 3:02 left in the first.
Vokoun went on to make 22 saves to get the win, Florida's second straight. Theodore stopped 25-of-27 shots.
Radek Dvorak played in his 574th game for Florida, establishing a franchise record. He passed Robert Svehla on the all-time list for the Panthers.
All 14 Florida games this season have been decided in regulation, the longest such streak to start a campaign in the history of the team.
