COL BKB: Kansas 113, Longwood 75

LAWRENCE, Kan., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- The Morris brothers -- Marcus and Markieff -- combined for 32 points Friday and No. 7 Kansas opened the season by storming past Longwood 113-75.

The Jayhawks shot 62 percent from the field and the brothers teamed to hit 12-of-18 shots.

Marcus Morris had 18 points and Markieff Morris grabbed 15 rebounds to go with his 14 points.

Tyshawn Taylor added 17 points and 10 assists in the 38th straight home-opening victory for Kansas.

The Lancers were led by 22 points and eight rebounds from Antwan Carter.

Kansas had a 54-27 halftime lead.
