NHL: New York Rangers 3, Buffalo 2 (OT)

NEW YORK, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- The second goal of the game for Artem Anisimov, coming 1:32 into overtime Thursday, brought the New York Rangers a 3-2 victory over Buffalo.

Anisimov also scored with 48 seconds left in the second period to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead. Mike Grier then tallied 45 seconds later to tie it and it remained deadlocked all the way through the third.

The Rangers ended a two-game skid with backup goalie Martin Biron stopping 29 shots. Biron filled in for Henrik Lundqvist, who had been scheduled to start but was a late scratch for unannounced reasons.

New York forward Marian Gaborik returned to action after missing 12 games with a separated shoulder. He took three shots, but did not figure in the scoring.

Jhonas Enroth gave up three goals on 28 shots and Buffalo fell to 2-4-2 in its last eight games.
