DETROIT, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Nick Folk kicked field goals to tie the game and to win it in overtime Sunday, sparking the New York Jets to a 23-20 stunner over Detroit.
The Jets trailed 20-10 in the fourth quarter before Mark Sanchez rallied them with a 1-yard TD run and then drove them into Detroit territory again as time was running out in regulation.

Folk's 36-yard yard boot as time expired sent the contest into overtime. New York (6-2) won the coin toss and Sanchez quickly connected with Santonio Holmes on a 52-yard pass to set up Folk's winning field goal.
The Lions' Matthew Stafford tossed for 240 yards and collected a pair of touchdowns for Detroit (2-6) before leaving the game with what appeared to be a shoulder injury.
