NHL: Chicago 5, Atlanta 4 (SO)

ATLANTA, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Viktor Stalberg's shot past Ondrej Pavelec in the fifth round of a shootout Saturday boosted the Chicago Blackhawks past Atlanta 5-4.

Satlberg's game-winner was set up when Atlanta's Dustin Byfuglien missed the net in the top of the extra shootout frame.

Jonathan Toews notched a pair of goals and racked up two assists and Patrick Kane tallied two goals and an assist for the Blackhawks, who won for only the second time in five games.

Blackhawks goalie Marty Turco turned aside 33 shots to earn the victory.

The Thrashers, who lost for the third game in four games, got a goal and an assist from Nik Antropov. Alexander Brumistrov, Evander Kane and Rich Peverley each added goals for Atlanta.
