NBA: New York 120, Chicago 112

CHICAGO, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Toney Douglas hit five 3-pointers and scored 30 points Thursday, helping the New York Knicks to a big first half en route to a 120-112 win over Chicago.

The Knicks opened a 70-58 lead after two quarters and survived a 5-mintue scoring drought in the fourth period during which the Bulls cut an 18-point deficit to eight.

Danilo Gallinari hit a 3-pointer for the Knicks with 4:04 remaining to end the Chicago run and New York held on from there.

Gallinari scored 24 points to help give the Knicks their first win in Chicago in five tries. Raymond Felton added 20 points and 10 assists and Amare Stoudemire had 14 points.

Chicago was led by 24 points from Derrick Rose.

New York has won its last two after losing its opening two games of the season.
