NHL: New York Rangers 3, Chicago 2

NEW YORK, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Erik Christensen's third-period goal put New York ahead and Henrik Lundqvist made it stand up Monday in the Rangers' 3-2 win over Chicago.

Chicago's Patrick Kane had knotted the score 2-2 with a goal just over 6 minutes into the third, but the Rangers came right back 28 seconds later when Brandon Prust worked the puck to the middle and Christensen beat Marty Turco with a wrist shot.

Lundqvist then shut the door, making 14 of his 35 saves in the third period.

Brandon Dubinsky scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season for the Rangers and New York won at home for only the second time this season.

Tomas Kopecky also scored for Chicago. Turco turned aside 20-of-23 shots in the setback.
