NHL: New York Rangers 2, Toronto 0

TORONTO, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 36 shots, 18 in the second period alone, and the New York Rangers topped Toronto 2-0 Saturday.

Lundqvist recorded his 25th career whitewash for New York, which raised its road record to 4-1-0 after posting a disappointing 1-2-0 homestand.

Ryan Callahan and Brian Boyle lit the lamp for the Rangers. Callahan matched a career-high, six-game point streak with the goal.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 22-of-24 shots for the Leafs, who were shut out for the second straight game and have scored only seven goals in their last six games.

Toronto dropped its second straight and fifth in six games.
