NHL: Chicago 3, Minnesota 1

ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Marty Turco turned aside 25-of-26 shots, including 10 in the third period Saturday, backstopping the Chicago Blackhawks' 3-1 win over Minnesota.

Turco stopped several excellent scoring opportunities in the final frame as the Wild struggled to get back in the game, but despite allowing a goal to Marek Zidlicky with 6 minutes to go, kept the Blackhawks out front.

Troy Brouwer, Duncan Keith and Jake Dowell each scored for Chicago, which rebounded from a big loss to Edmonton Friday. Keith also had an assist and Patrick Kane had two for the Hawks.

Minnesota goalie Niklas Backstrom played well in the defeat, allowing two goals on 31 shots.
