Curry scored six points in the first 2:04 of the third quarter, but later in the period twisted his already injured right ankle and left the floor in pain. Curry suffered a sprained ankle during the exhibition season and aggravated it in Wednesday's season opener.

Golden State took a 90-67 lead into the fourth period, winning for the second time in as many games to start the year.

Dorell Wright led the Warriors with 24 points, Curry had 16 and both Monta Ellis and David Lee had 15. Golden State shot 53 percent from the field and made 14-of-25 3-pointers.

The Clippers were paced by Eric Gordon with 19.
