COL FB: Oklahoma State 24, Kansas State 14

MANHATTAN, Kan., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Brandon Weeden threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead No. 20 Oklahoma State past Kansas State 24-14.

Weeden was 22-of-39 in the air and Kendall Hunter carried the ball 28 times for 143 yards for the Cowboys (7-1, 3-1 Big 12), who bounced back from their first loss of the season with 511 total yards of offense.

Kansas State (5-3, 2-3) generated 289 total yards and lost for the third time in their last four games. Daniel Thomas led the Wildcats with 101 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries.

Oklahoma State scored 10 unanswered points in the third quarter on a TD pass from Weeden to Josh Cooper and a 34-yard field goal by Dan Bailey.

Johnny Thomas picked off one of Cooper's passes in the fourth quarter and returned it 26 yards for a TD that gave Oklahoma State a 24-7 lead with 7:06 to play.
