MLS: Real Salt Lake 2, Colorado 2 (tie)

COMMERCE CITY, Colo., Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Alvaro Saborio stunned Colorado with a pair of stoppage-time goals Saturday and Real Salt Lake forced a 2-2 tie with the Rapids.

Colorado held a 2-0 lead going into the 91st minute thanks to markers from Omar Cummings and Conor Casey, but Saborio first scored off a wild deflection and 4 minutes later added a penalty kick tally for the equalizer.

The draw enabled Real Salt Lake (15-4-11) to pull even with the Los Angeles Galaxy on points for the Western Conference lead, but the Galaxy won the regular-season crown on a tie-breaker.

Saturday's tie produced an RSL-FC Dallas matchup in the opening round of the playoffs while Los Angeles will now play the Seattle Sounders.

Blowing the late lead meant Colorado (12-8-10) avoided a first-round Western Conference matchup with the Galaxy and will instead move into the Eastern Conference where the Rapids will face the Columbus Crew.
