ST. LOUIS, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Roman Polak put St. Louis ahead midway through the third period Friday and the Blues went on to defeat Chicago 4-2.
The defending Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks had a four-game winning streak snapped.

St. Louis won for the first time in four games, getting two goals from David Perron for the second straight contest. Jaroslav Halak stopped 23-of-25 shots in the win.
Each of Perron's goals was answered by a score from Chicago and it was a 2-2 contest heading into the third period.
Polak gave the Blues the lead with 8:59 to play by scoring unassisted and St. Louis clinched it with Patrik Berglund's power-play goal with 1:03 remaining.
Marty Turco gave up all the St. Louis goals on 28 shots.
