CHICAGO, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Patrick Sharp netted the game-winning goal with 1:10 left in overtime Monday, boosting the Chicago Blackhawks to a 3-2 decision over St. Louis.
Sharp collected a pass from Patrick Kane that snaked its way through three defenders and one-timed it past Jaroslav Halak for the decisive goal -- the third straight game in which Sharp has scored the game-winner for the defending Stanley Cup champs.
Marian Hossa scored the Blackhawks' other two goals, improving his point-scoring streak to seven games as Chicago won its fourth in a row.
Marty Turco collected 32 saves for Chicago, including seven in overtime.
The Blues got both their goals from David Perron. Halak turned aside 30 shots in the defeat for St. Louis, which concluded an 0-3 road trip.
