NHL: Columbus 3, Minnesota 2

ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 16 (UPI) -- R.J. Umberger tallied a short-handed goal in the third period Saturday, allowing the Columbus Blue Jackets to upend Minnesota 3-2.

Umberger's goal came midway through the frame and was reviewed by the officials to determine if it had gone completely over the goal line and under goalie Niklas Backstrom's pads.
