Kaymer had to overcome a 14th-hole eagle by Danny Willett that pulled him into a tie for the lead. Willet ended up carding a 5-under 67, good for sole possession of second place at minus-14.

Third-round leader John Parry (72) double bogeyed the 14th and finished third at 13-under 275.

Defending champ Simon Dyson (66), Martin Laird (67) and Alvaro Quiros (72) ended up knotted for fifth place at 11-under 277.
