BEIJING, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Caroline Wozniacki and Vera Zvonareva had their match Sunday in the finals of the China Open postponed by rain.

The start of the men's finals in Beijing between Novak Djokovic and David Ferrer was delayed 4 1/2 hours and, after they managed about 30 minutes of play, the match was postponed to Monday.

Wozniacki and Zvonareva, the tournament's top seeds, never got on the court and will decide the women's draw China Open champion after Djokovic and Ferrer complete their match.

Zvonareva, after a straight-set win in the semifinals of the U.S. Open last month, owns a 3-2 series edge over Wozniacki.

"I'm really happy to be in the finals. I've never been in the final in singles here before," Wozniacki said after winning her semifinal match Saturday. "Vera's a good player, I'm a good player. It's going to be a difficult match, and we'll see what happens."

Wozniacki will move into the No. 1 ranking among women's players when the rankings are next released.
