WASHINGTON, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- The Washington Redskins aren't sure if defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth will play Sunday after his brother was killed in a traffic accident in Tennessee.
Haynesworth travelled to Nashville Friday to be with his family and Coach Mike Shanahan said he was not sure if he would be back in time for Sunday's game against Green Bay.
"It's something you don't talk about," Shanahan said after Friday's practice. "Obviously, what he's going through right now is paramount.
Haynesworth's 23-year-old brother, Lance McCoy, was killed Thursday night when his motorcycle hit a car. Witnesses said McCoy was traveling about 100 miles an hour at the time of the crash.
The Washington Post said Saturday it was uncertain who might step into Haynesworth's nose tackle slot. Anthony Bryant started against Houston in Week 2; however Bryant suffered a concussion that sidelined him for the next two games.
