TUCSON, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Nick Foles hit Juron Criner for a 3-yard touchdown pass with 1:15 left in the game Saturday, giving No. 16 Arizona a 10-9 decision over California.
Foles drove the Wildcats 78 yards in eight plays to notch the winning score, completing a key 51-yard pass to Criner to the California 12-yard line with 2:19 remaining.
Foles was 25-of-40 passing for 213 yards with one interception and one touchdown for Arizona (4-0, 1-0 Pac-10).
Criner made five grabs for 69 yards and a touchdown.
Cal (2-2, 0-1) was limited to three Giorgio Tavecchio field goals, converting only two of 12 third-down opportunities.
Kevin Riley went 14-of-26 for 121 yards through the air and Shane Vereen rushed 26 times for 97 yards in the Golden Bears' setback.
