Parry seeks 1st Euro Tour win at Vivendi

CHAMBOURCY, France, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- John Parry made a bid for his first European Tour victory Saturday, taking a one-stroke after three rounds of the Vivendi Cup in France.

Parry fired a 2-under 70, finishing 54 holes at 15-under 201 to establish a one-shot lead over both Mark F. Haastrup and Johan Edfors.

Parry, who has one career victory on the Challenge Tour, sank back-to-back birdies at 13 and 14 to get back to minus-15 and then notched four straight pars to finish his round.

Haastrup carded a 6-under 66 to forge a second-place tie with Edfors (67) at minus-14.

Second round co-leader Jarmo Sandelin bogeyed his final two holes, falling to an even-par 72 and into a fourth-place tie with Francois Delamontagne (68), Robert-Jan Derksen (68) and Richard Green (69) at 13-under 203.
