Penn State quarterback Rob Bolden never got on track, settling for 223 yards on 18-of-28 passing. His main contribution came while leading a 12-play, 96-yard drive late in game that ate up six minutes and resulted in Zodich's insurance TD.

The Lions' defense held Temple (3-1) to 202 yards of total offense and only eight first downs.

Owls quarterback Chester Stewart was intercepted three times and Bernard Pierce rushed for two scores before leaving with an apparent right ankle injury in the third quarter.
