GAINESVILLE, Fla., Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Running back Trey Burton scored six touchdowns Saturday -- a single-game school record -- sparking No. 8 Florida's 48-14 pounding of Kentucky.
The Gators' freshman found the end zone on each of his five carries and also caught a TD pass, becoming just the fourth player in SEC history to collect six or more touchdowns in one game.
John Brantley ended the game 24-of-35 for 248 yards with one TD and an interception for Florida (4-0, 2-0 SEC), which took its 24th straight regular season victory.
The Wildcats (3-1, 0-1) lost to Florida for the 24th consecutive time. They were led by Mike Hartline, who completed 21-of-39 passes for 242 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.
Chris Matthews hauled down two touchdown passes and gained 114 yards for Kentucky.
