MLB: Cincinnati 5, Milwaukee 2

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Joey Votto and Scott Rolen smacked back-to-back homers in the eighth inning Monday, powering the Cincinnati Reds to a 5-2 decision over Milwaukee.

Drew Stubbs contributed a two-run clout in the Reds' victory, which reduced their magic number for clinching the National League Central to six.

Cincinnati starter Homer Bailey limited the Brewers to two runs over six innings but the victory went to Nick Masset (4-4), who tossed 1 1/3 scoreless relief innings.

Brewers reliever Kameron Loe (3-5) surrendered the back-to-back homers and took the loss, ruining a good start by Chris Capuano, who held Cincinnati to a pair of runs through six innings.

Ryan Braun knocked in both Milwaukee runs.
