NFL: Tampa Bay 20, Carolina 7

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Josh Freeman passed for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another Sunday in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 20-7 decision over Carolina.

Freeman amassed 178 yards through the air, connecting on 12-of-24 throws, and rushed for 43 yards for Tampa Bay (2-0).

Mike Williams and Earnest Graham collected TD passes in the win, while Cadillac Williams racked up 51 yards rushing in 27 attempts.

Panthers quarterback Matt Moore returned from a concussion suffered during last week's 31-18 loss to the New York Giants and was ineffective, completing only 6-of-16 passes for 125 yards with one touchdown and an interception.

He was replaced by rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen, who was good on 7-of-13 passes for 59 yards.

Steve Smith hauled down a 37-yard TD pass for Carolina (0-2).
