NASHVILLE, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Jeff Reed kicked four field goals and Pittsburgh's defense forced seven turnovers Sunday in the Steelers' 19-11 victory over Tennessee.

Rookie Antonio Brown got the game off to a good start for the Steelers, returning the opening kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown, and Pittsburgh's defense took over from there, picking off Titans quarterback Vince Young twice and forcing him to lose a fumble.

The special teams scored all 19 of the Steelers' points while their defense held 2009 Offensive Player of the Year Chris Johnson to 34 yards on 16 rushes and also forced him to fumble.

Rashard Mendenhall carried the ball 23 times for 69 yards for Pittsburgh (2-0), which lost quarterback Dennis Dixon to injury. Charlie Batch was the only backup dressed for the game following Saturday's surprise release of Byron Leftwich.

Tennessee (1-1) benched Young in the fourth quarter in favor of Kerry Collins, who was intercepted on the first series and later lost a fumble.
