NFL: Atlanta 41, Arizona 7

ATLANTA, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Matt Ryan tossed for three touchdowns and amassed 225 yards passing Sunday, powering the Atlanta Falcons to a 41-7 rout over Arizona.

Ryan finished the day 21-of-32 through the air. His favorite target was Roddy White, who caught seven passes for 78 yards and a touchdown, while Jason Snelling and Brian Finneran also were on the receiving ends of TD tosses.

Snelling added a pair of rushing scores, piling up 186 total yards of offense for the Falcons (1-1), who posted 444 yards of total offense to 267 for Arizona and held the ball for nearly 40 minutes.

Quarterback Derek Anderson spent much of the game under an intense pass rush and completed only 17-of-31 passes for just 161 yards for the Cardinals (1-1).
