KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Yuniesky Betancourt stole home during a four-run second inning Sunday, helping the Kansas City Royals down Cleveland 6-4.
Mitch Maier and Kila Ka'aihue each contributed a pair of RBI and Billy Butler chipped in two hits for the Royals, who salvaged one win in a three-game weekend series with the Indians.
Luke Hochevar (6-5) went six innings to collect the victory, surrendering three runs on eight hits. Joakim Soria notched his 39th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Cleveland starter Josh Tomlin (4-4) absorbed the loss, allowing six runs on six hits in five-plus innings.
Shin-Soo Choo went deep for the fourth time in the series with a two-run, first-inning shot.
