Rockies get reliever Dotel from Dodgers

DENVER, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- The Colorado Rockies said Saturday they have obtained reliever Ocatvio Dotel from the Los Angeles Dodgers for a player to be named later.

Dotel, 36, has compiled a 3.99 earned-run average and racked up 22 saves over 60 appearances for the Dodgers and Pirates this year.

Over the course of his 12-year career, Dotel is 49-42 with a 3.75 ERA and 105 saves in 622 games with nine clubs.

The Rockies, who are battling to secure a National League playoff spot, put pitcher Manuel Corpas on the 60-day disabled list to make room for their latest acquisition.
